Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 11, 2026

This app (the “App”) is provided by Light LLC (“we”, “us”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we manage and protect it. This Policy applies to the iOS version of the App distributed on the App Store and the Android version distributed on Google Play, including the running log app “PaceLog Run”.

1. Information We Collect

  • Usage data (access time, screen transitions, interaction history, etc.)
  • Device information (OS type/version, app version, and other technical details)
  • Information you provide via contact (email address, name, message body, etc.)
  • Advertising-related information: identifiers such as the advertising ID, IP address, interactions such as app launches and ad impressions or taps, diagnostic information, etc. This may be collected and processed by the SDK of the advertising service (see “4. External Services”).

About PaceLog Run (iOS and Android)

  • Your running records (date, distance, time, pace, etc.) and app settings (including a copy of the “Remove Ads” purchase status) are stored in the app’s own storage area on your device. PaceLog Run itself does not send them to our servers.
  • The PaceLog Run app does not include any analytics or crash-reporting mechanism of our own (such as an analytics SDK). Information corresponding to the “usage data” and “device information” listed above may be collected and processed by the external services described in “4. External Services”.
  • There is no account registration or sign-in feature.
  • The app does not ask for location permission and does not obtain GPS location information (you enter distance and time yourself).
  • If you use the backup or device-transfer features provided by your device’s operating system (such as iCloud or backup to your Google Account), your records and settings may be stored or transferred by those features. A file exported with “Create Backup” in the app is passed to the destination you choose.
  • You can delete records in the app. Deleting (uninstalling) the app removes the records and settings stored on the device. We do not hold this data.
  • Copies saved by OS backup features and files exported with “Create Backup” may remain after you delete records in the app or delete the app (an OS backup keeps its earlier contents until the next backup replaces them). If you no longer need them, delete them in the backup settings of your device, iCloud, or Google Account, or where you saved the file. If a backup remains, records may be restored when you reinstall the app.

2. Purposes of Use

  • Improving app quality, fixing bugs, and enhancing features
  • Providing user support and responding to inquiries
  • Statistical analysis of usage to plan and develop new features
  • Delivering ads and checking the purchase status of the “Remove Ads” option

3. Disclosure to Third Parties

We do not provide collected information to third parties except when required by law. However, the providers of the services listed in “4. External Services” may directly collect and process, through their SDKs or similar means, the information needed to provide services such as ad delivery and payment.

4. External Services

For convenience and monetization, the App may use the following services:

  • Google Analytics: usage analytics (not used in PaceLog Run)
  • Google AdMob: advertising
    • For advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention, Google may collect and process the following through its advertising SDK and, in the Android version, Google Play services on the device: IP address (which may be used to estimate general location); device and app identifiers such as the advertising ID (e.g., the Android advertising ID) and app set ID (and, if applicable, identifiers related to accounts signed in on the device); interactions such as app launches and ad impressions or taps; technical information about the device, app, and network (such as model, OS version, language setting, connection type and mobile carrier, and device state); and diagnostic information about the performance of the app and the SDK.
    • PaceLog Run requests only non-personalized ads (ads not based on your interests). Even then, identifiers may still be used for purposes such as frequency capping, aggregated ad reporting, and combating fraud and abuse.
    • In the Android version, when ads are to be shown, the app uses Google’s consent management service (User Messaging Platform) to check whether consent for advertising is required. In doing so, device and app information (such as model, OS version, language setting, and app identifier) is sent to Google. Depending on your country or region, a consent screen may be shown; your choices are then stored on your device and applied to ad delivery. In that case, while ads are shown, you can change your choices from “Ad Privacy Settings” on the Settings screen.
    • You can reset or delete the Android advertising ID in your device settings (the steps and menu names vary by device and OS version).
    • For how Google handles information, see Google’s Privacy Policy and “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services”.
  • Apple App Store (In-App Purchases, “IAP”): payment processing for paid options (e.g., “Remove Ads”) in the iOS version
    • Payments are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store card details.
    • For entitlement and fraud prevention, we handle only the minimum necessary purchase information (e.g., purchase presence, receipt verification result).
  • Google Play (Google Play Billing): payment processing for paid options (e.g., “Remove Ads”) in the Android version
    • Payments are processed by Google through Google Play. We do not receive or store card details.
    • To grant entitlements, we handle only the minimum necessary purchase information that Google Play reports to the app (e.g., purchase presence). It is used on your device and is not sent to our servers.
    • To process purchases and monitor how its billing library is working, Google may collect and process, through the Google Play Billing Library, as well as the Google Play Store and Google Play services on the device, purchase-related information, technical information about the device and app (such as model, OS version, language and region settings, and connection type), and diagnostic information.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, leakage, or loss.

6. Your Rights

  • You may request access, correction, or deletion of your information by contacting us below.
  • The name, email address, and inquiry content we obtain when you contact us are kept for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and to maintain necessary records, and are deleted once they are no longer needed, except where retention is required by law.
  • IAP purchase status is usually stored locally on your device. After reinstalling or changing devices, use the App’s “Restore Purchases” with the same Apple Account (formerly Apple ID) on iOS or the same Google Account on Android.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy as needed. Changes take effect when posted on this page.

9. In-App Purchases (IAP)

9.1 What We Offer

The App provides a one-time “Remove Ads” option. Pricing follows the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) listing and may change based on exchange rates or store policy.

9.2 Payment Processing & Data We Receive

  • Payments are processed by the Apple App Store on iOS or Google Play (Google Play Billing) on Android. We do not obtain or store card numbers.
  • We handle only the minimum necessary data (purchase presence, receipt verification results on iOS, purchase information reported by Google Play on Android) to grant entitlements and prevent fraud.

9.3 Storage & Retention

  • Purchase status is stored locally on your device and retained until the app is deleted or data is reset.
  • The purchase status kept on the device is a copy of the result the app obtains from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). It is checked again, for example when the app starts, and is removed once the store reports the purchase as revoked (for example, after a refund).

9.4 Restore

  • After reinstalling or changing devices, use “Restore Purchases” with the same Apple Account (iOS) or Google Account (Android) to regain access at no extra cost.

9.5 Refunds

  • Refunds follow Apple’s policies (iOS) or Google Play’s policies (Android). Please refer to App Store support or Google Play Help.

9.6 Minors

  • Minors require the consent of a legal guardian to make purchases.

9.7 Anti-Fraud

  • If receipt tampering or other fraud is suspected, we may temporarily suspend entitlements.
